Theological statement

The course designers acknowledge that across the Christian church there can be different theological perspectives.
The information and activities in these courses come from a trinitarian, grace-based perspective, which is that of the course designers. We also wish to express that the main concepts in this course, ‘duty of care’ , ‘being respectful in our boundary-crossings’, ‘protection of the vulnerable’ and ‘safe environments’ are all an expression of love for one another, a love which comes from God.

FACE TO FACE TRAINING

CSC has over 15 years of experience in implementation of face to face Safe Ministry prevention education

Safe Ministry training aims to assist church workers in understanding their pastoral, organisational, legal and risk management responsibilities towards reducing the instances of ministry misconduct, abuse, and duty of care and/or safety failures, and to provide churches with general good practice advice for Safe Ministry.
CSC recognises that training does not ensure Safe Ministry, but that this will be achieved through the implementation of robust policy, procedures and  through safe ministry interactions.
